Surgical Technologist (Surgical Tech) – Travel Contract in Spokane, WA. 13-week OR role at a Level II Trauma Center. Join a dynamic perioperative team at a busy short-term acute care teaching hospital and advance your travel surgical tech career in the Pacific Northwest.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,980
- Location: Spokane, WA 99204 (Spokane County / Eastern Washington)
- Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma Center / Teaching Hospital
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:45 - 17:15)
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: As assigned to meet department needs (weeknights or weekends)
- Float: May float to outpatient surgical center or sister facilities
- Parking: Free
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Tech (Surgical Technologist) in a hospital/OR setting
- Valid Washington Allied license in hand (or Compact Allied license)
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in scrubbing pediatric, ENT, and plastic surgery cases; experience with robotics (Da Vinci Xi) preferred
- Experience in Trauma Level I or II preferred — strong perioperative and trauma OR experience is a plus
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last three years
- Ability to float between units and facilities as needed
- Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred
Responsibilities / Operating Room Duties
- Scrub and circulate for a broad range of surgical procedures including neuro, ortho, general, GU, GYN, robotics, pediatrics, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, maxillofacial, and kidney/pancreas transplants
- Provide perioperative support in the Operating Room (OR) following aseptic technique and universal protocols
- Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, implants, and supplies for surgical cases
- Handle and label specimens accurately and ensure proper chain-of-custody for intraoperative specimens
- Operate, set up, troubleshoot, and document use of surgical equipment (including Da Vinci Xi and SPM when applicable)
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned and respond promptly for urgent cases
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, and ancillary services
- Float to outpatient surgical centers or sister facilities as required to meet department needs
