- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
- Location: New Brunswick, NJ 08901 — New Jersey travel nurse opportunity
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 4, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
- Setting: Level 4 Labor & Delivery Unit (24 beds) — maternal-newborn nursing
- Scrubs Provided
Job Requirements — Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN (L&D RN) experience — strong maternal-newborn and postpartum skills
- Valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey (required at time of submission)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, Advanced OR C-EFM (C-EFM may be obtained prior to start)
- Adult IV Therapy Course (CNJNE certification required if not already certified)
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- References from managers/supervisors within the last year
- Completed Labor & Delivery skills checklist within the last year
- Willingness to work night shifts as described
- Travel pairs not accepted; former permanent employees not accepted
Key Responsibilities — L&D RN / Travel Nurse Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, including antepartum, intrapartum, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
- Monitor maternal and fetal health using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM/C-EFM) and appropriate fetal surveillance techniques
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and analgesia per protocol; perform adult IV therapy tasks as required
- Assist with deliveries, support high-risk obstetric patients, and collaborate in emergent situations
- Coordinate care with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in orientation modules (average 4 hours) and maintain compliance with hospital and unit protocols
