• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / CV Services / Med-Surg Overflow
• Facility: Level I Trauma Center with high-acuity cardiac and pulmonary patients
• Patient Ratio: Team nursing, typically 1:6–7
• Clinical Focus: Cardiac telemetry monitoring, post-op cardiac care, pulmonary support

Required Qualifications — Travel RN / Cardiac Telemetry RN

• Minimum 2 years recent Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or related RN experience in a large hospital
• At least one completed previous travel assignment (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state (NLC compliance required); pending licenses not accepted
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required
• Clinical skills: Telemetry monitoring, IV starts, cardiac monitoring equipment
• Travel requirement: Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Key Responsibilities — Cardiac Stepdown Nurse

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac, pulmonary, and stepdown patients requiring close monitoring and telemetry
• Participate in team nursing with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6–7
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and Case Management
• Utilize bedside and remote telemetry monitoring equipment to detect changes in patient condition
• Contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and travel assignment requirements
