- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
- Location: Charleston, WV 25304 (Travel Nursing Job – Charleston, West Virginia)
- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / Sub-Acute / Rehabilitation
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-hour days (3 shifts per week)
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years bedside clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN); LTAC, sub-acute, or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient education skills for long-term acute care nursing
Responsibilities
- Perform timely nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized LTAC care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT/OT/Speech, physicians, respiratory therapy) and families to identify teaching needs and patient goals
- Provide accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs focused on functional recovery, education, and quality outcomes
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission to support safe transitions of care
- Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and patient safety
- Supervise and direct LPNs, CNAs, and orientees as part of the LTAC nursing team
- Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and best nursing practices
- Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment; assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to LTAC and travel nursing
