• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
• Location: Austin, TX 78705 — Austin emergency room jobs / Texas nursing jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED), 11 beds
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• End Date: July 13, 2026
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state) — must meet state nursing licensure for travel nurse roles
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER/ED) experience required
• Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) experience preferred
• Ability to float to other FSED facilities as needed (flexible travel nurse)
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• BLS certification (AHA) required

Responsibilities – Emergency Nursing / ER RN

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Perform IV starts, 12-lead EKGs, triage, and comprehensive patient assessments
• Respond to emergency and critical care situations following ED protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and follow quality and safety standards
• Float to other FSED units within the facility as needed and support team-focused care
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment
