Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active NH license and certification to practice nuclear medicine required (NMTCB or ARRT(N) preferred)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred
• Demonstrated experience with SPECT/CT imaging and radiopharmaceutical handling
• Strong technical, computer, and PACS/DICOM skills preferred
• Knowledge of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
• Excellent communication, patient-care, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodation if disabled

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals orally, by injection, or inhalation for diagnostic imaging procedures
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including SPECT/CT scanners; ensure proper calibration and quality control
• Explain nuclear medicine procedures to patients, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort and safety during scans
• Acquire and process images, produce computer-generated DICOM images, and transfer studies to PACS for physician interpretation
• Maintain accurate records and logs of radiopharmaceuticals, dose administration, and radiation safety documentation
• Follow radiation safety protocols to protect staff, patients, and the public from unnecessary exposure (ALARA)
• Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuing education
• Support and promote the mission, values, and patient-centered care standards of the healthcare facility
