• Location: Canton, OH 44708 (Northeast Ohio healthcare opportunity)
• Setting: 4 Main Medical/Telemetry Unit
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel nurse assignment in Canton, Ohio. This role is ideal for RNs with strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills, Epic EMR experience, and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical/surgical unit.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand
• Current AHA (or ARC) BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (must obtain prior to start)
• Epic EMR/charting system experience required
• Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med/Surg Tele specialty (from assignments in the past 12 months)
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care on a busy medical/surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; respond appropriately to telemetry alarms and changes
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Accurately document patient information, assessments, and interventions using Epic EMR
• Participate in orientation, unit-based competencies, and ongoing clinical assessments
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
