Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (valid in assignment state)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience; 2+ years preferred
• Critical care experience required — experience in LTAC, step-down, or ICU preferred

Responsibilities — LTAC Registered Nurse (RN)

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission for LTAC patients
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and initiate discharge planning from admission
• Educate patients and families regarding healthcare needs and discharge planning
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel and support staff
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital policies and safety procedures
• Contribute positively to unit team building and maintain a supportive work environment
• Identify and pursue professional growth opportunities relevant to LTAC and critical care nursing
