Job Details — Travel Nurse Med/Surg

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 — Pagosa Springs nursing jobs / Colorado nursing opportunities
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (06:30 – 18:30), 3 days per week
• Setting: Adult Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit — acute care, inpatient nursing
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

Job Requirements — Med-Surg RN Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) experience; 2 years preferred
• Current RN licensure in the State of Colorado (compact license holders: verify state requirements)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR required — clinical documentation and electronic charting skills
• Basic computer proficiency and clinical documentation accuracy
• BSN preferred (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Responsibilities — Med-Surg Nursing Duties

• Provide and administer safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to adult patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess patient status, interpret clinical data, and identify age-specific needs for adult medical-surgical populations
• Follow established nursing policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices for inpatient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members — physicians, therapists, and support staff — to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR, including assessments, interventions, and patient education
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the adult lifespan and apply clinical judgment in acute care situations
