- Position: Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA (02462) — Boston-area travel ultrasound job
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 3, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Graduation from an AMA-accredited Ultrasound Program (Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Minimum of 1 year full-time clinical ultrasound experience
- ARDMS certification (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing and onboarding requirements
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills in a hospital imaging department
Key Responsibilities (Ultrasound / Sonography)
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound studies including Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, Basic Vascular, and small parts
- Assist with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures as needed
- Ensure proper patient identification and preparation; obtain accurate clinical history
- Review patient charts for pertinent clinical history and laboratory data prior to exams
- Explain exams to patients, maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethics
- Follow universal precautions and safety protocols appropriate to patient status
- Operate, maintain, and report malfunctions of ultrasound equipment and accessories
- Rotate within the department and to off-site clinics as required for hospital imaging services
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, technologists, nursing staff, and hospital personnel
- Complete exam documentation, PACS and RIS image upload and reporting functions for each study
- Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for daily sonography use; restock supply rooms as needed
- Stay current with imaging techniques, sonography procedures, and equipment trends; participate in continuing education
- Transport and transfer patients according to departmental guidelines using safe handling techniques
- Use independent judgment and initiative under pressure and perform other duties as directed
