- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 12, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel Radiology Technologist – On-Site
- Division: Allied Health / Radiology
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (Mon/Tues/Wed or Sun/Mon/Wed, 7:00pm – 7:30am, with call)
- Hours Per Week: 36
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Radiology Technologist / Radiologic Technologist)
- Active registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) in Radiology
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) — travel radiology experience a plus
- Working knowledge of digital radiography (DR) and/or computed radiography (CR) equipment, techniques, and protocols
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and PACS is helpful
- Excellent patient care, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary radiology team
- Ability to wear lead aprons and follow radiation safety procedures for extended periods
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images per physician orders and radiology protocols
- Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate imaging
- Provide clear instructions and support to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation during imaging
- Retrieve radiologic orders, document procedures, and input related data into electronic medical records (EMR/PACS)
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patients and staff (ALARA principles)
- Perform imaging procedures across settings including Emergency Department (ER), operating rooms, outpatient clinics, and specialized units
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and report radiology equipment issues and assist with preventative maintenance
- Follow infection control policies, assist with first aid when necessary, and ensure proper patient identification and informed consent
- Support department goals through continuing education, quality improvement projects, and adherence to ARRT and ASRT standards
- Assist with patient monitoring during procedures and collaborate with clinical teams to deliver timely imaging services
