- Shift: 12-hour days (Varied schedule: Mon/Fri/Sat or Mon/Tues/Fri, 7:00am–7:30pm)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Radiologic Technologist / Radiography)
- ARRT registration in Radiology (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — ARRT-registered preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred (hospital, ER, or outpatient imaging)
- Basic computer and electronic medical record (EMR) skills for radiologic order entry and image retrieval
- Ability to wear lead aprons and practice radiation protection techniques for patient and staff safety
- Strong customer service, communication skills, and ability to explain procedures to patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Dependable, adaptable, ethical, and professional behavior at all times
Key Responsibilities — Diagnostic Imaging & Radiography
- Operate radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images (radiographic positioning, exposure techniques)
- Position patients and equipment for optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
- Explain imaging procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation
- Retrieve, verify, and input radiologic orders into electronic medical records (EMR)
- Provide radiology services across hospital units including Emergency Department (ER), surgery, outpatient centers, and clinics
- Practice radiation protection and infection control protocols consistently
- Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot radiology equipment and imaging rooms
- Stock and maintain examination rooms, supplies, and safety equipment
- Assist with patient comfort, positioning, and sedation measures as needed; ensure informed consent and follow Universal Protocol for invasive procedures
- Support department quality improvement, continuing education, and best practices in medical imaging
