Travel CVICU RN Job Details
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing Job)
- Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 — I-70 corridor between Denver and Grand Junction (Colorado nursing jobs)
- Duration: 13 weeks (May 5, 2026 – August 4, 2026)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,430 – $2,550 (competitive pay for travel nurses)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), including weekend rotation
- Call Rotation: 1 call shift per 2-week period (as needed for staffing)
- Housing: Newly remodeled, fully furnished studio and 1-bedroom apartments available 1/2 block from the hospital (includes Wi-Fi, utilities, laundry)
ICU RN Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of RN critical care experience required (critical care RN / ICU RN)
- Strong CVICU skills with Day 0 CVICU experience; cardiac ICU / cardiac care experience preferred
- Active Colorado RN license in good standing (or compact license if applicable)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- PALS certification (American Heart Association) preferred
- Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
Cardiac ICU / Critical Care Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and manage complex cardiac and critical care equipment
- Care for post-op cardiac surgery patients and those requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians—to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in call rotation and provide coverage as needed to support staffing
- Support the hospital's mission to keep community members healing close to home by delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
