Travel Med/Surg RN (Nights) — 13-week assignment in Glenwood Springs, CO (81601). Seeking experienced Acute Care/Telemetry nurses for a travel nursing job with competitive pay and exceptional outdoor lifestyle perks.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 – $2,150
- Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado (81601) — Colorado travel nursing jobs, Colorado nursing jobs
- Setting: Acute Care / Med-Surg Adult, Telemetry, Observation Unit (Med-Surg RN, Telemetry RN)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 14, 2026 – July 14, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12 Hour Rotating (night shifts including weekend rotation)
- On-Call: Must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period if requested due to staffing needs
- Housing: Newly remodeled, fully furnished studio apartments available just 1/2 block from the hospital (based on availability)
Job Requirements (Qualifications)
- Minimum 2 years of Acute Care / Med-Surg / Telemetry RN experience required (travel nurse experience a plus)
- At least 3 years of RN Med/Surg experience preferred
- Current RN license to practice in Colorado (Compact license holders must verify state requirements)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Must be willing to participate in call rotation
- Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles from facility
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Med/Surg Acute Care and Observation Unit
- Use clinical judgment to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care (patient assessment, care planning, interventions)
- Monitor and manage patients with complex disease states, including post-orthopedic surgery and hybrid cath lab procedures
- Provide telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in cardiac status (Telemetry RN responsibilities)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Provide Intermediate Care in CCU as needed and support unit staffing flexibility
