Job Details
- Position: Travel Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech – Interventional Radiology (IR) & Cardiac Cath
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,710 – $2,920
- Location: Greenwich, CT 06830 (Greenwich healthcare / Connecticut radiology jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4 x 9.5-hour (07:00 – 16:30); may vary based on department needs
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call & Weekends: Required as needed (30-minute callback & travel time)
- Scrubs & Parking: Scrubs provided; free parking available
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of IR experience OR 5 years total radiology experience including Interventional Radiology
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) with CT credential preferred (ARRT-CT)
- Valid CT State Radiology License for Connecticut (must apply prior to submittal; allow 15–21 business days for issuance)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Mechanical stroke / thrombectomy experience required
- Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedural experience required
- EP ablation experience a plus (Electrophysiology experience beneficial)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- 1 professional reference required
- First-time travel technologists accepted with minimum 5 years of experience
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in Interventional Radiology and the Cardiac Cath Lab, including stroke interventions/mechanical thrombectomy
- Scrub, assist and circulate during Cardiac Cath and IR procedures; support EP cases when applicable
- Operate and optimize advanced imaging equipment (Philips FD20, Siemens BiPlane) and CT systems
- Maintain sterile technique, isolation precautions, and patient safety standards
- Prepare access sites, set up specialized instrumentation, and manage inventory and procedural supplies
- Participate in on-call rotation during off hours, weekends, and holidays as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy
- Document procedures and patient care accurately using the Epic electronic health record (Epic charting)
