- Job Title: Outpatient Physical Therapist / Travel Physical Therapist (PT)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220 - $2,380
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
- Setting: Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic (orthopedic, neuro, pediatric, geriatric)
- Shift: Day shifts, 5x8-hour (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Patient Age Groups: Infants, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: Approximately 48 visits per day
Job Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Texas — license in hand required upon submission
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist; outpatient experience preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Manual therapy and dry needling skills preferred (Dry Needling certification if applicable)
- Experience with electronic medical records/charting systems (Altera EHR preferred)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Ability to complete facility drug screen upon arrival (including marijuana per facility policy)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized outpatient treatment programs for orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and geriatric diagnoses
- Perform initial evaluations, routine reassessments, and discharge planning focused on functional outcomes
- Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and dry needling as appropriate to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs, safety, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including front office/unit secretaries and interpretation services, to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the facility charting system (Altera or equivalent)
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered clinic environment and support continuous quality improvement
