• Shift: Night shifts, 4x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)

• Floating: Required to float between Main, South, and North campuses (all within 15 miles)

Job Requirements (ICU RN / Neuro ICU Nurse)

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital with neuro exposure (neurocritical care experience preferred)
• At least 2 years of RN experience — critical care RN or ICU RN background preferred
• Active RN license (any state accepted; temporary/compact license available) — Ohio travel nurse license options supported
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips and basic rhythm recognition
• EPIC charting experience required (electronic health record experience highly valued)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Previous charge experience and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must be available to work every other weekend/holiday
• Traveler will be first to float at facility's discretion

Responsibilities (Neurocritical Care / ICU RN Duties)

• Provide expert neurocritical care for patients with seizures, strokes, neuromuscular disorders, and traumatic brain injuries
• Treat overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical and Heart & Vascular ICUs as needed
• Manage high-acuity cases including post-neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and acute stroke
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures: EVD management, endoscopy support, bronchoscopy assistance, trach and G-tube care, central and arterial line placement
• Utilize and monitor advanced equipment: ICP monitoring, EVD, lumbar drains, EEG monitors, BIS, Train of Four
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage ventilated patients, and interpret ABGs
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions and follow ICU policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float to other units as needed and support the nursing care team across campuses
