Summary

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for a travel nursing position in an LTAC facility in Morgantown, WV. Ideal candidates have strong bedside skills, LTAC or sub-acute experience, and a commitment to patient-centered rehabilitation care.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid for practice in West Virginia)
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience required; LTAC, sub-acute, or rehabilitation nursing experience preferred
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary care coordination

Responsibilities — LTAC Registered Nurse / Travel RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Initiate and coordinate patient teaching and discharge planning starting at admission
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and safety
• Participate in team building and foster a positive, collaborative work environment
• Identify opportunities for professional growth and pursue continuing education relevant to LTAC and rehabilitation nursing
