- Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,660
- Location: Florence, SC 29505 (Florence, South Carolina)
- Setting: Hospital – acute care / critical care / ICU support
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist certification; RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or acute care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy hospital environment
- Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with mechanical ventilation, ventilator management, and critical care protocols
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care, including intensive respiratory support and safe patient transport
- Evaluate patients and develop or recommend respiratory treatment plans
- Explain treatments, tests, and respiratory equipment to patients and provide discharge education
- Administer physician-prescribed treatments using ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol devices, and nebulizers
- Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography monitoring, and interpret chest x-rays as related to respiratory care
- Conduct 12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function testing
- Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and arterial blood gas sampling
- Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment and ensure ventilator safety and effectiveness
- Document all pertinent patient information, communicate therapy effectiveness to physicians, and maintain accurate therapy charging
- Participate in shift-to-shift handoffs and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other assigned duties
