Job Details — Labor & Delivery RN (Travel Nursing)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Location: Saint Croix Falls, WI 54024 (Wisconsin nursing jobs / travel nursing)
• Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 1, 2026 – July 1, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am) with weekend flexibility
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrubs Provided

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent OB / L&D experience required (maternity nurse, obstetrics nurse)
• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state) — must meet state licensure requirements for travel nursing
• Current BLS (AHA)
• Current ACLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN EMF Intermediate certification preferred
• STABLE certification preferred
• Comfortable managing labor & delivery, postpartum, mom/babe couplets, well-baby nursery, and post-surgical patients
• Ability to float to MedSurg unit as needed; MedSurg background preferred
• Experience titrating common drips (oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, insulin)

Key Responsibilities — Labor & Delivery RN

• Provide comprehensive perinatal and obstetric nursing care for laboring mothers, deliveries, postpartum, and well-baby nursery patients
• Care for mom/baby couplets and post-surgical patients (e.g., post-appendectomy, post-cholecystectomy)
• Titrate and manage common drips including oxytocin, magnesium, and insulin
• Collaborate with a small, supportive team (typically 2 nurses per shift) and the house supervisor in a CAH setting
• Float to the MedSurg unit as needed when OB is closed to provide essential nursing support
• Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
• Use OBIX EFM system and Spacelab monitors (RNs are not required to interpret strips independently)
• Complete department orientation (typically 2 shifts) and participate in unit-based onboarding for travel nurses
