Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
• Location: Paducah, KY 42003. Kentucky nursing jobs, Paducah healthcare jobs.
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, April 23, 2026 – July 23, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour (Monday-Friday, 06:00 - 14:30)
• Call: Every 3rd weekend, 1-2 nights per week; heart call every other day and every other week
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Infants, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Role Type: CVOR Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular OR Nurse, Travel Nurse opportunity

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR RN experience with complex cardiac and thoracic procedures
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Kentucky RN license or compact nursing license
• BLS and ACLS certifications current
• Clinical competency in CABG, aortic valve, mitral valve, tricuspid valve procedures, TAVR, aortic arch and root replacements, ECMO, Impella insertions, open thoracotomies, laparoscopic thoracoscopies, mediastinoscopies, and related chest procedures
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record and charting
• Two professional references from recent CVOR supervisors or lead surgeons
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative and intraoperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients in the CVOR
• Assist with a broad range of complex cardiac and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, ECMO cases, and mechanical circulatory support
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled heart call coverage
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC and follow perioperative protocols
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across all age groups
