Job Details — PCU RN / Travel Nurse

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Location: Lake Forest, IL 60045 (Chicago suburbs; Lake Michigan access)
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On Call: May be placed on low census/on-call as needed
• Weekend Requirement: Yes

Job Requirements — Progressive Care Unit Nurse

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license (must be in hand)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions considered for COVID-19 only)
• Minimum 1 year of direct Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down unit experience
• Must provide license, skills checklist, and two references (one from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge RN within the last year)

Responsibilities — PCU RN / Travel Registered Nurse

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / step-down unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient information accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Respond to changes in patient status and provide appropriate clinical interventions
• Participate in unit orientation and complete required modules during scheduled shifts
• Float between units or facilities within the health system if requested
• Maintain compliance with all facility, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
