Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170 – $2,330 (competitive travel MRI pay)
• Location: Fairfax, VA (22033) — Fairfax MRI jobs / Washington, D.C. area
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Shift: 10-hour days, Tuesday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-call: Every 2 weeks, 3–4 times a week
• Holiday Coverage: 1 major, 1 minor holiday
• Systems: Epic access required
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of MRI technologist experience (hospital and outpatient settings preferred)
• ARRT (MRI) certification required
• BLS certification from AHA
• Strong IV skills for contrast administration
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills — strong bedside manner
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with MRI techs and clinical techs
• Flexibility to float to nearby outpatient MRI (walking distance from hospital)
• Epic experience required for accurate documentation and workflow

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans in both hospital and outpatient settings using GE 3.5T and 1.5T magnets
• Administer IV contrast as indicated and maintain strong IV/venipuncture skills
• Provide exceptional patient care, communication, and customer service
• Collaborate with MRI technologists, CT techs, radiologists, and clinical staff
• Participate in on-call rotation and required holiday coverage
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and charting in Epic
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code (black scrubs)
