Position Overview
Work as an Endoscopy RN in a high-volume GI Lab serving Gastroenterology & Pulmonology service lines, including colorectal and bariatric procedures. This travel RN job is ideal for experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurses, GI Lab nurses, and GI procedural nurses seeking Atlanta nursing jobs and Georgia travel nurse opportunities.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 - $1,780 (competitive travel RN pay)
- Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 — Atlanta nursing jobs, Atlanta healthcare
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (6:30am – 5:00pm), 4 days per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Unit: 703A GI Lab (Gastroenterology / Endoscopy)
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- End Date: July 25, 2026
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN)
- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab specialty (Endoscopy RN, GI Lab Nurse)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Required certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS
- Comfortable working 10-hour day shifts and meeting guaranteed hours
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
- Experience with endoscopic equipment, scope handling, and peri-procedural nursing preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, and bronchoscopies
- Provide peri-procedural nursing care and monitor patient status during sedation and recovery
- Support Gastroenterology & Pulmonology service lines, including colorectal and bariatric surgeries when applicable
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, anesthesiology, techs) to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and adhere to safety and infection control standards in the GI Lab
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain competency with endoscopic procedures and equipment
