Job Requirements (OR RN Qualifications)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative experience preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact Multistate RN License
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in one or more specialties: Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric OR
• CNOR certification preferred but not required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Canton, GA

Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Duties)

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique
• Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, including intraoperative monitoring and handoffs to PACU when applicable
• Document patient care, surgical interventions, and perioperative assessments accurately in the EHR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiologists, PACU staff) to deliver high-quality surgical services
• Follow hospital policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards for perioperative practice
