Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 - $1,750 (competitive travel ultrasound pay)
- Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (Charleston healthcare, South Carolina)
- Facility Type: Teaching Hospital, Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (09:30 – 20:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Scrub Colors: Teal tops and black bottoms
- Charting: Epic (Epic charting experience preferred)
- Parking: Nights and weekends only; one-time $20 parking pass
- On-site: Yes (hospital ultrasound position)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech, Sonographer, or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant studies (transplant sonography)
- Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred (trauma sonography experience a plus)
- Epic charting experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted (travel ultrasound tech welcome)
- SC state ultrasound licensure not required
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound procedures including abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant studies
- Float between Main and ART units as needed to support patient care
- Provide ultrasound services for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Accurately document exams and findings using Epic; maintain clear clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced trauma setting
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control
- Adhere to facility protocols and participate in emergency response teams, including hurricane season preparedness (June–November)
