Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,630 - $1,750 (competitive travel ultrasound pay)
• Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (Charleston healthcare, South Carolina)
• Facility Type: Teaching Hospital, Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (09:30 – 20:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Scrub Colors: Teal tops and black bottoms
• Charting: Epic (Epic charting experience preferred)
• Parking: Nights and weekends only; one-time $20 parking pass
• On-site: Yes (hospital ultrasound position)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech, Sonographer, or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• Proficiency in abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant studies (transplant sonography)
• Graduation from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred (trauma sonography experience a plus)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted (travel ultrasound tech welcome)
• SC state ultrasound licensure not required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound procedures including abdominal Doppler imaging and transplant studies
• Float between Main and ART units as needed to support patient care
• Provide ultrasound services for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Accurately document exams and findings using Epic; maintain clear clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced trauma setting
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control
• Adhere to facility protocols and participate in emergency response teams, including hurricane season preparedness (June–November)
