Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Brooklyn, MD (Night, 13-week)

Travel ER Registered Nurse needed in Brooklyn, Maryland (21225) — 13-week night contract caring for adult and pediatric patients in a busy Emergency Department. Ideal for Emergency Department RNs with strong triage, IV start, and dysrhythmia management skills.

Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
  • Location: Brooklyn, Maryland (zip 21225) — Baltimore area travel nurse opportunity
  • Setting: Combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department (Adult & Pediatric ED)
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Start Date: May 5, 2026
  • End Date: August 4, 2026
  • Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN (ER RN)

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience (ED RN, ER RN)
  • Active RN license (Maryland or Compact)
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
  • Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, MAB
  • Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
  • Experience with Cerner charting system (EMR) preferred
  • Clinical skills required: triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, dysrhythmia recognition/management, central line care
  • Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Two supervisor references required

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department (adult and pediatric)
  • Perform triage assessment, IV starts, phlebotomy, and emergency interventions
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer emergency medications, and manage central lines
  • Document accurately using the Cerner charting system (EMR) and complete required modules on time
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, social services, and unit clerical staff
  • Float within the department as needed and participate in orientation for travel nursing assignments
