- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 – $2,270
- Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — travel nursing assignment in Central Ohio
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Population: Neonates, Level III NICU

Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience (Level III or IV preferred) — neonatal nursing experience required
- Valid RN license (compact OR Ohio state license required at time of submission) — Ohio nursing jobs candidates welcome
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Experience using EPIC charting system (EPIC experience preferred)
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication systems
- Ability to float to different units within the organization as needed
- Two professional references (one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive neonatal care, including management of neonates <24–28 weeks gestation
- Assess and manage respiratory distress, glucose management, and post-operative or cardiac neonatal care
- Administer medications via Pyxis (including IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids) and manage IV therapy
- Document all patient care accurately in EPIC using best practices for neonatal charting
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and families using SBAR for safe handoffs
- Perform and manage specialized procedures: arterial line management, central line care, neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
- Manage ventilator settings and adjustments (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) and collaborate with respiratory therapy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including NPs, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social work, and unit secretaries
- Maintain infection control measures and handle umbilical artery and vein catheters per unit protocol
