Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel nursing assignment in Dunkirk, NY. Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department (ED) or similar acute care setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently as a travel nurse and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Comfortable managing high-acuity patients, rapid decision-making, and emergency interventions

Responsibilities (Emergency Room RN)

• Provide direct patient care in an Emergency Room environment
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs quickly and accurately
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per provider orders
• Monitor patients’ status and respond promptly to emergencies and code situations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff to deliver high-quality emergency care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, follow-up care, and home care instructions
