Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience — ER RN or Emergency Department RN
• Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or a Compact State
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in weekend coverage
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• At least 1 professional reference

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, efficient emergency care to patients across all acuity levels in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, and prioritize patient needs in a high-volume, fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions per protocol
• Provide trauma and critical care support as needed; follow TNCC and ED trauma protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation and comply with hospital policies
• Participate in department rotations, quality improvement initiatives, and mandatory safety training
