- Position: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Hospital Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,220 – $1,310
- Location: Atlantis, FL 33462 (Palm Beach County)
- Facility Size: 558 beds — acute care, teaching hospital
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) — night shift RRT
- Hours per Week: 36
- Openings: 2 travel RRT positions
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Dress Code: Grey scrubs
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC (required)
- Active Florida Respiratory Therapist (RT) license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience (critical care experience preferred)
- At least one prior travel assignment preferred
- Stroke education and experience preferred
- Previous Meditech experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory assessment, treatment, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies including asthma, pneumonia, COPD/emphysema
- Operate and manage equipment: oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction, CPAP & BiPAP, V60, Servo-1, Servo-U, and high-flow oxygen systems
- Deliver critical care support and ventilator management for adult (and pediatric as needed) patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
- Document respiratory care accurately in Meditech and maintain compliance with hospital policies
- Adapt to varying patient ratios and work independently as a travel RRT when required
