- Setting: Hospital – NICU/PICU Respiratory Unit (Level 1 adult & pediatric trauma center, Level 3 NICU)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 2, 2026 – June 1, 2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience with recent NICU/PICU experience required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; active state licensure or ability to obtain Florida licensure preferred
- Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
- Meditech documentation system experience preferred (experience with electronic charting/EMR a plus)
- Strong clinical assessment skills, team player, critical thinker, and adaptable to fast-paced critical care environments
- Professional appearance—light gray (silver) uniform required
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care, treatment, and evaluation for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients with respiratory disease
- Manage ventilator support and advanced modalities including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BIPAP, mechanical ventilation, and ECMO collaboration as needed
- Operate specialized neonatal ventilators and airway devices (e.g., 3100A Bunnell oscillator, Servo ventilators), continuous nebulizers, Heliox, and inhaled nitric oxide
- Perform routine respiratory therapies: CPT, suctioning, aerosol treatments, nebulizer therapy, and tracheostomy care
- Float to adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, and other respiratory interventions as needed
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech / EMR systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, nurses, and allied health—to deliver high-quality patient care in the NICU/PICU and adult units
