Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,420 - $1,530
- Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22408 (Fredericksburg, Virginia)
- Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Unit (140 beds)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (02/04/2026 – 05/06/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00), 3 shifts per week including every other weekend — night shift respiratory therapist
- Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel assignment
- Dress Code: All black scrubs
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- BLS and ACLS required (NRP preferred; can be obtained after hire)
- Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience
- NICU experience required — NICU respiratory therapist experience preferred
- Proficiency with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and intubation assistance with mechanical ventilation
- Familiarity with Hamilton ventilators (Hamilton C1, V60, Hamilton MR1)
- Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult and NICU patients as a hospital respiratory therapist
- Assist with intubation and mechanical ventilation management and troubleshooting
- Operate and optimize advanced respiratory equipment, including Hamilton ventilators, CPAP, and High Flow systems
- Provide Bubble CPAP setup and management for neonatal patients
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Work scheduled night shifts, including every other weekend — strong candidate for night shift respiratory therapist roles
