Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,150 - $2,310 (competitive travel SLP pay)
• Location: On-site in Ideal, Georgia (31041) — Ideal, GA; Georgia SLP jobs
• Setting: Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF); split between Miona Geriatric and The Oaks
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 4, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour days (08:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel SLP / Contract assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification / state license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in long-term care, geriatric, or SNF settings
• Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills for dysphagia and cognitive-communication disorders
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Core Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in geriatric residents
• Conduct bedside swallow evaluations (BSE) and institute evidence-based dysphagia interventions; coordinate instrumental assessments as appropriate
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and restorative nursing programs
• Collaborate with nursing, occupational and physical therapy, dietary, and administrative staff to optimize resident outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility and Medicare/SNF billing requirements
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
• Provide split coverage between Miona Geriatric and The Oaks facilities as scheduled
