Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
Shift: Day shifts, Friday-Sunday, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00)
Hours per Week: 36

Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D / OB) — L&D Nurse, OB/GYN nursing, maternal-newborn care

Job Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina (must be active at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required (2 years preferred)
Travel nursing experience preferred (Travel RN or Travel Nurse experience a plus)
Ability to provide 2 supervisory references
Copy of certifications required at submission
EMR: MEDITECH (experience not required)

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
Monitor maternal and fetal progress and provide support throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN, anesthesiology, pediatrics) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately using MEDITECH EMR and maintain clear clinical documentation
Maintain a safe, patient-centered, and supportive environment for patients and families
Participate in unit orientation, ongoing education, and best-practice initiatives for L&D nursing
