Job Details – Travel Nurse / ICU RN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (travel RN)
• Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — night shift ICU RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 (occasionally 1:3)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call Requirement: At least 2 shifts per 6 weeks
• Float Requirement: May float to other units within the Midlands Division
• Charting: Epic (experience preferred)
• Free Parking: Available in unrestricted spaces

Job Requirements – Critical Care Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience (critical care/medical-surgical ICU experience acceptable)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Current BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred (critical care certification)
• Experience managing patient ratios of 2–3 and working night shifts
• Epic charting experience preferred (electronic medical record proficiency)
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Responsibilities – ICU / Critical Care RN

• Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a 10-bed ICU (intensive care unit)
• Manage medical, surgical, and cardiac patient populations as a critical care nurse
• Perform and monitor IV insulin protocols, GI surgery/post-op care, and renal failure management
• Manage arterial lines, blood product administration, and central/PICC line care
• Provide ventilator management, assist with airway care, and support ventilated patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and obtain 12-lead EKGs
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and perform continuous/procedural sedation as indicated
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions in an acute care hospital setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November) as part of regional preparedness
