L&D Registered Nurse (RN) travel assignment in Morristown, NJ — 13-week night shift for experienced OB/L&D nurses with high-risk pregnancy and perinatal care expertise.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
• Location: Morristown, NJ (07960) — travel nursing assignment in New Jersey
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts) — L&D night shift experience preferred
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel
• Setting: Delivery Room, High-Risk Labor & Delivery Unit — high-risk obstetrics, perinatal and newborn care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience in a large hospital setting with high-risk pregnancies or equivalent L&D/OB nursing experience
• Active RN license (New Jersey license or RN compact license preferred)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns in labor & delivery and perioperative settings
• Deliver skilled OB nursing care for high-risk pregnancies, including monitoring, interventions, and newborn stabilization
• Demonstrate proficiency with emergency equipment and procedures used in L&D and delivery rooms
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care, progress, and fetal/newborn status
• Promote patient satisfaction by communicating professionally and responding courteously to patients, families, and colleagues
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols, including accurate patient identification and safety checks
• Individualize patient care plans according to procedure type and anesthesia considerations
• Provide patient and family education on procedures, pre-operative and post-operative care, and newborn care
• Support completion and evaluation of pre-admission and perioperative testing orders
• Collaborate with the perioperative and multidisciplinary teams to prioritize care, assume accountability, and ensure safe outcomes
