Job Details

• Position: Travel Medical Physicist / Radiation Oncology Physicist
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $4,420 - $4,750
• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Cancer Center) — Atlanta medical physicist opportunity
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour days, Monday–Friday (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Physicist in a hospital or cancer center setting (radiation oncology experience preferred)
• Medical Physicist certification required (e.g., ABR or equivalent)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA (no local candidates within 50 miles)

Responsibilities

• Provide medical physics support for radiation oncology and cancer treatment services as a therapeutic medical physicist
• Ensure accurate calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment (e.g., linear accelerators) to support safe patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to optimize treatment planning and clinical workflows
• Perform routine and specialized quality assurance checks, safety audits, and equipment performance evaluations
• Contribute to treatment planning review, patient-specific QA, and implementation of clinical protocols for cancer patients
