Job Requirements (Qualifications)

• Active RN License — New York State only (required)
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience; strong perioperative nursing background
• Proven experience circulating complex adult cardiac cases (CABG, structural heart procedures, TAVR/TAVI, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure cases)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Level 1 Trauma Center operating room experience preferred
• Experience with heart transplants or mechanical circulatory support preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently function as RN circulator for complex adult cardiac surgical cases (cardiac OR nurse / circulator)
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, perioperative safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care before, during, and after cardiac surgery
• Accurately and timely document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Support unit flow and assist with room turnover, equipment setup, and supply management for cardiac cases
