Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 - $2,200 (Travel Nurse pay)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 – Rochester healthcare / Upstate New York nursing jobs
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), every other weekend; holidays/on-call/callback/charge as needed; 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Med/Surg Float Pool – Level II RN (Floating RN, Telemetry)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York (NY license only)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Telemetry experience required (Telemetry RN experience)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (Med/Surg nursing)

Responsibilities

• Deliver competent, compassionate patient care across multiple units following established standards for Med/Surg and specialty care
• Float between specialty units as a Med/Surg/Float RN and adapt to varied patient populations and acuity levels
• Participate in charge nurse duties, preceptorship, and committee work as assigned (leadership opportunities for RNs)
• Promote service excellence and professional development through evidence-based practice and continuous learning (clinical excellence)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, case managers—to ensure optimal patient outcomes (team-based care)
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and documentation standards
