• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010

• Start Dates: 5/4/2026 or 5/18/2026 (Orientation every other Monday)

Job Requirements (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Travel RN)

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience; prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required upon start
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Complete skills checklist and detailed work history (explain gaps over 90 days)
• Clinical comfort with med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA patient populations
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to support and mentor students and new hires in a teaching hospital environment
• All requested time off must be submitted with application

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown/IMCU unit (Telemetry RN responsibilities)
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned, including leadership, coordination of care, and shift management
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, neuro, and med-surg conditions using telemetry and advanced monitoring
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Mentor students and new hires; contribute to a supportive, teaching-focused culture
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards
