Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nurse assignment in Augusta, GA. 13-week travel contract at a leading hospital in Augusta, GA. Active RN license, BLS, and 1+ years recent OR experience required.
Job Details – Travel OR RN / Perioperative RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890

- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), weekend rotation, plus 4–5 call shifts per 4 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Main Operating Room (first floor) — high-volume surgical services and specialty cases
- Scrubs Provided: Yes
- Parking: Garage parking with no fees
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (Georgia RN license or Compact license preferred)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative/OR experience)
- Required clinical skills: major joint orthopedics, general surgery, urology (open & cysto), minor vascular; major vascular experience a plus
- Strong ortho skill set is a must (Stryker / MAKO experience beneficial)
- Excellent teamwork, punctuality, and positive attitude for a collaborative surgical team
Responsibilities – Operating Room / Surgical Nurse Duties
- Circulate and assist in a wide range of surgical cases (excluding open heart, transplants, and eyes)
- Operate and support advanced surgical equipment: Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, da Vinci / DIV Xi robots, MAKO Navigation, and OMNI Navigation
- Accurate documentation in MEDITECH electronic health record
- Collaborate with perioperative team members including RNs, surgical techs, support staff, and board runners
- Float to assist other areas when ORs are shut down to support patient flow and staffing needs
- Follow AORN guidelines and facility policies to ensure patient safety and quality surgical care
