Psychiatric RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Psychiatric RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health setting
• Active Idaho RN license or multi-state RN license valid for practice in Idaho (must be attached to resume)
• ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (attach to submission packet)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification (attach to submission packet)
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (experience as a mental health RN with electronic charting is a plus)

Psychiatric RN Responsibilities

• Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• Develop and implement nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary behavioral health staff
• Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients
• Communicate changes in patient clinical condition with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers as appropriate
• Participate in discharge planning and coordination of community resources for mental health follow-up
