Job Requirements (Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Catheterization Nurse)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience (interventional cardiology, cardiac catheterization, cath lab procedures)
• Active Idaho RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must be attached to resume)
• AHA ACLS & BLS certifications required (American Heart Association; attach to submission)
• Experience with cardiovascular radiographic and interventional procedures (e.g., cardiac catheterization, angiography, PCI)
• Strong critical thinking, scientific judgement, and leadership skills in high-acuity settings
• At least 1 year of overall nursing experience required
• Excellent documentation, patient assessment, and patient safety practices

Responsibilities (Cath Lab Registered Nurse)

• Provide direct nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the cardiologist
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor hemodynamics, manage sedation/medications, and provide post-procedure recovery care
• Support the Cardiac Catheterization Lab team during high-level invasive procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Operate and assist with cath lab equipment, contrast administration, and patient monitoring devices
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgement in patient care planning and provision
• Ensure compliance with state Nurse Practice Act, AHA guidelines, and hospital policies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
