Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Location: Memphis, TN 38104 — Memphis nursing jobs / Tennessee travel nurse opportunity
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (short-term travel assignment)
• Start Dates: 5/4/2026 or 5/18/2026
• Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 36 or 48 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Number of Positions: 2

Required Qualifications (Med/Surg Tele RN)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (TN RN or compact)
• Certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS (current)
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• All time-off requests must be submitted with application

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic charting experience preferred
• Strong telemetry monitoring, medication drip and titration experience
• Experience with CHF, AMI, post cath lab care, PPM placements and ablations

Responsibilities (Med/Surg / Telemetry RN)

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol
• Care for patients with CHF, AMI, post cath lab, PPM placements, ablations, and general Med/Surg diagnoses
• Work within a team nursing model (ratios split with 2 RNs, LPN, med nurse & virtual nurse)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
• Weekend and on-call coverage as required
• Maintain compliance with all facility and travel assignment guidelines
