- Job Title: Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech (Travel Radiology Technologist)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,080 - $2,230
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (Sunday – Thursday, 07:15 – 15:45)
- Setting: Imaging – Diagnostic Unit (Hospital-based radiology)
- Location: Leading hospital in Madison, WI
- On-Call/Holiday: Standby call and holiday rotations may be required
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) in diagnostic imaging
- ARRT(R) certification required (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Experience with Level II trauma required; Level I trauma experience preferred
- Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
- Demonstrated competency in adult, pediatric, and neonatal imaging procedures
- Telemetry exam required prior to start (strict pass/fail criteria)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of diagnostic radiographic exams for patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics)
- Operate radiographic equipment, detectors, plate readers, and imaging computers in the diagnostic imaging unit
- Prepare and administer contrast media as indicated and follow facility protocols for contrast safety
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance; participate in quality assurance and image quality improvement initiatives
- Resolve image processing and archiving issues and ensure timely, accurate image documentation in Epic
- Adapt positioning and imaging techniques to accommodate physical restrictions, pathology, and patient age
- Maintain infection prevention, radiation safety, and ALARA principles at all times
- Participate in standby call and holiday rotations and float to other units as staffing needs require
