• Location: Decatur, IL (62526) — travel nursing job in Illinois
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,450 – $2,580
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4 x 10-hour shifts (06:30 – 17:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
• On-Call: 1 night/week primary, 1 night/week secondary
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital — Level II Trauma Center
• Charting: Cerner (experience with Cerner preferred)
• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Parking: Free with permit

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license, or active application with ETA (required)
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology RN experience (IR RN or vascular interventional experience)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross only)
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record (EHR)
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility or affiliate hospital needs
• Available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment
• Trauma Level II experience preferred (experience in acute care nursing and trauma a plus)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures (IR nurse duties)
• Assist with pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery, monitor procedural sedation, and administer emergency medications
• Perform and assist with specialized IR procedures including angioplasty, chemoembolization, biopsy assistance, tube placements, embolizations, and vascular interventions
• Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and adhere to infection prevention protocols
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, and complications related to procedural sedation
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned; support interdisciplinary collaboration with IV teams, radiology techs, rapid response teams, and transport
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Cerner EHR
• Float to other units as needed (within scope) to support acute care and perioperative services
