Job Details — Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Travel Job in Midland, MI
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520 – $1,640
- Location: Midland, MI 48640 (Midland, Michigan travel respiratory therapist)
- Setting: Hospital — Respiratory Care Unit / Respiratory Therapy
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights, 6 on/8 off (36-hour guarantee) — night shift RRT
- Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — travel assignment
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Active RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist License (LARA must state active MI license)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Skills checklist current within the last 12 months (pertinent to respiratory therapy)
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
- Previous travel work experience preferred (travel respiratory therapist experience)
- Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Midland, MI
Responsibilities — Respiratory Care & Clinical Duties
- Independently or in consultation with physicians, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system
- Perform respiratory care to evaluate and treat per established protocols and physician orders
- Deliver medications via aerosol, metered dose inhalers, and other delivery devices
- Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, codes, arrest, or STAT situations, providing airway management, ventilation support, and cardiac compressions as needed
- Set up, monitor, and maintain oxygen delivery systems and respiratory equipment according to hospital protocol
- Provide CPR and life support measures, and ensure safe patient care and documentation in the respiratory therapy scope of practice
