• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810 – $2,960
• Location: Livingston, NJ (07039) — New Jersey travel nursing opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12.5 hours (06:30 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-call: Required, 2x per month (weekend only; shifts: 6:30a-2:30p, 2:30p-10:30p, 10:30p-6:30a)
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Charting System: EPIC (Epic charting experience preferred)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR / Cardiothoracic Operating Room experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or Compact RN license accepted
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• Ability to float to Main OR after 2:30 PM as needed (per floating policy)
• First-time travel nurses welcome — great entry point to travel CVOR RN jobs

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist in advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures including TAVR, CABG, laser lead extractions, pericardial window, valve replacements, and aortic dissection repairs
• Deliver high-quality perioperative care to adult and geriatric patients as an Operating Room RN / CVOR nurse
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and respond to emergent cardiothoracic cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiology, perfusion, and nursing staff) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using EPIC
• Adhere to floating policy and provide support in Main OR when required
