Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,060 – $2,170 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Easton, MD 21601 — Talbot County; Chesapeake Bay area; Maryland travel nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel contract)
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift: Day shifts; 2x10-hour (07:00–17:30) and 2x8-hour (07:00–15:30). PACU open hours 07:30–20:30; scheduling may vary within these hours
• On-call: Required (two shifts in a four-week period, occasionally three)
• Weekends: Every other weekend required (travel nurse weekend coverage)
• Holidays: Required as scheduled
• Floating: Required within specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope

Job Requirements — PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license OR Compact RN license accepted (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU (post-anesthesia care unit) RN experience required
• Previous Charge RN or leadership experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA only)
• Comfortable caring for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients in PACU and perioperative settings
• Epic charting experience preferred (electronic health record experience)
• Community hospital experience preferred — perioperative and PACU background a plus
• Must be able to float within hospital and sister facilities as needed (within scope)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN acceptable)
• Travel nurse eligibility: permanent residence must be 50+ miles from facility

PACU RN Responsibilities — Clinical Duties

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients in the PACU, including pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Monitor and manage post-anesthesia recovery, airway assessment, and care of ventilated patients
• Administer emergency medications, anticoagulation therapy, and manage PICC/central lines
• Interpret and communicate lab values and ABGs; manage chest tubes and arterial lines
• Perform pre- and post-endoscopy and operative patient care, medication reconciliation, and discharge instructions
• Manage pain assessment, PCA pumps, and sedation protocols consistent with PACU standards
• Float to other units and sister facilities as needed in scope of practice
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend/holiday coverage (required for travel nurse assignment)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services
